WHAT IS COLLEGIATE MINISTRY?
This ministry will focus on college students only. The college/university community is one of the most challenging atmospheres for most young adults who are students. These college/university campus' provide students with a lot of opportunity to get active but too few of those activities are faith-based.
The Collegiate Ministry of the CME Church has an awesome strategy to reach college students, right where they are, at almost no cost to the church. We plan to enrich the lives of young people through on hands biblical teaching, creative and engaging worship & the arts, and amazing opportunities to build community on campus with the option to engage in an active ministry setting (church) once they are ready.
01
AFFIRMATION
Each student that participates in our college ministry is affirmed and accepted as God's creation. We believe that Jesus died for all and we stand firm that all whom Jesus died for are welcomed in this ministry. This is also the moment where we build community and understand the principles of becoming apart of the beloved community of God in Jesus Christ.
02
EXPLORATION
The College/University setting already establishes an atmosphere of vigorous learning and achievement so we want to shift the mindset of biblical study to biblical exploration. We will search the scriptures on one accord to discern truth as the Spirit guides according to the vision set for the school year.
03
DEDICATION
We will strive at forming young people who are dedicated to their profession of faith in Jesus Christ. Though the world seems to make so many shifts and changes, flips and turns, we will develop young people who are committed to God by helping students take ownership of their faith profession.
04
OPERATION
We strongly believe God shapes and forms all to lead in some capacity of life. We teach the value of "doing right" by the platform God has given each of us. Whether that's simply being a good student or serving God in some ministry capacity, each student will become operable in doing God's will.
